Eyes wide open but I am blind.

I am a…

…wolf. I will be courageous and strong!!

Rudeness

It never ceases to amaze me. I wish I could invent a gun of rainbows that put a fucking smile on everyone’s face; killed their evil with kindness and joy so they actually appreciated stuff/things/nothing.

My…

…elbow really hurts for now reason!! Is it a warning from the magpie?!

Good morning…

…magpie! This morning I was woken up by a magpie knocking at my window. He knocked once, then two in quick succession. Then Cleo went over pretty sharpish and he flew off.

Magpies have varying symbolic meanings throughout the world. In Chinese culture the magpie is a symbol of happiness. If you see it one your living space (is my window my living space?), then it foretells succeeding in a new venture, finding a new love, getting children, getting rich, recovering from illness or getting a promotion. Bingo!

Generally in Eastern cultures a tapping magpie is seen to be a good spirit (or a love one passed recently) letting you know that they are at peace and guarding you. Which fits in with Chinese belief that the magpie is seen as a bird that connects heaven and earth.

Another more practical theory is that the magpie belongs to the crow family, and therefore play behaviour is common as is doing things ‘just because’.

One superstition however is that a magpie on a windowsill means an immediate death…not so great for me, was it warning me of my death? Knock knock, death is coming? or someone else’s? 3 years ago someone posted on a forum the exact same circumstance as me; ‘What does it mean if a magpie knocks at your window three times?’, the only reply they got was, ‘It has no meaning whatsoever……’

What do you think?
